A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

- $45 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Management RN License Experience working with individuals with disabilities Computer literacy BLS Certification English De-escalation techniques Conflict de-escalation Assisting with ADLs Computer skills Patient emergency assistance Nursing Full Job Description We are Adult Day Healthcare Center serving adults with physical, mental or emotional disabilities whom require assistance with daily living activities.
- Interviewing all participants of this center to assess them at the time of they enter the center and every six months. Provide evidenced based quantitative documentation on the participants' improvement or decline.
- Writing Individualized Plan of Care for each participant appropriate to their situation that includes Problem statement, Intervention, Progress notes and Objective of the Treatment Plan.
- Providing supervision to LVN and CNA to do quarterly progress notes and daily progress notes, documenting any marked changes in the participant's condition or any unusual incidents observed.
- Communicate with the participants' primary physician about their health and diagnosis. This requires knowledge of computer program. Training will be provided.
- Provide training and/or administering medication to the participants as needed and monitor medication compliance
- Provide health education and counseling to the participants and their families
- Supervising personal care services provided by the program aides
- Support and supervise LVN and CNA
- Documenting ALL nursing care provided including participants' reaction to the care provided
- Countersigning all daily notes/flowsheet entries
- Maintenance and supervision of all drug supplies and medications stored and record use
- Destruction of any drugs which have expired or been left in the center 30 days after the participant have left
- Attend and provide state of participants' health during Multi Disciplinary Meetings.
- Provide emergency procedures as needed The potential candidate MUST possess:
- Current RN license.
- Strong verbal and written fluency in English and computer literacy is required.
- Strong leadership abilities to communicate needs to provide case management for our participants.
- Be able to maintain a professional stance during emergency situations and provide conflict resolution to deescalate the episode.
- No criminal background, we will do a background check Upon hire, candidate will be asked to bring:
- Proof of citizenship or work permit in U.S.
- Negative TB test or chest
