This contract is ideal for a dedicated Registered Nurse seeking meaningful 1:1 clinical engagement during an important assessment period. You'll be working approximately 35 hours per week, providing compassionate, individualized care to a student attending the California School for the Blind over a 60-day contract.

What You'll Bring:

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California School nursing experience or strong interest in working within educational settings Legal nurse consulting background is a plus Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to anticipate student health needs in a one-on-one, adaptive environment Comfortable collaborating with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care during school attendance and activities Conduct and document thorough health assessments for assigned student Support a safe, caring environment respectful of each student's needs Implement individualized care plans while monitoring student progress Communicate regularly with school professionals, student's healthcare team, and family members Respond quickly and effectively to urgent health situations Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in the school nursing profession
