1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Infusion position requiring CA licensure and at least 2 years of outpatient infusion experience. Details Work in an outpatient Infusion Center setting Day shift schedule with 4x9 hour shifts, starting at 7:30am or 8:00am Every other full weekend required, weekend shift is 8am-4pm Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS and
ONS/ONCC
certifications required Minimum 2 years of outpatient infusion experience required Experience with IV therapy and infusions Experience accessing, managing, and caring for ports and central/implanted lines Experience with chemotherapy administration, including IV push administration Skilled in handling body fluids and managing cytotoxic spills post-chemotherapy Ability to monitor chemotherapy patients and recognize/communicate abnormal lab values Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and neutropenic precautions Familiarity with biotherapy and recognizing/managing associated side effects Additional Information Provide infusion nursing care including chemotherapy administration and port/central line management Monitor patients for side effects and abnormal lab values during treatment Follow strict isolation and neutropenic precaution protocols Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Only one holiday time-off request approved per contract Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Former employees must have a 1-year separation period before returning as a traveler
