An Endoscopy Registered Nurse cares for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, in which miniature cameras are used to view patients' internal systems, primarily digestive systems, and assess problems. Prepares patients for endoscopy procedures, and monitors patients during and after procedures. Works with anesthesia specialists and physicians as part of a clinical team. Works in clinical settings, primarily specialized endoscopy clinics.

GI Endoscopy Tech PRN The Endoscopy Center is hiring a PRN GI Tech in Encinitas, San Diego County.
Hourly Wage Range:
$24.00 to $28.00 per hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility. Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives non-acutely ill patients according to accepted standards. Demonstrates ability to understand the unique needs of each age group of the patient population. Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens. Uses good body mechanics Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations. Able to take vital signs and apply V/S monitors and documents appropriately. Cross train as a GI Technician Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Minimum of two (2) years previous OR experience (preferred) Current State License as a Registered Nurse. Current in
BLS, ACLS
Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
