This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse or Certified School Nurse (CSN) who enjoys both clinical work and travel, and who is passionate about ensuring student wellness in varied communities. You will be an integral part of a team that provides essential hearing screenings and school nursing services throughout a network of schools spanning 14 counties. Most screenings will be conducted in the Rocklin, Roseville, and greater Sacramento areas, with occasional assignments taking you to settings such as Chico, Mendocino, Ukiah, and South Lake Tahoe.

Qualifications & Skills:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or completion of a school nursing program in progress (must have at least completed the audiometry course). Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) is highly desired. Experience or strong interest in school nursing and pediatric healthcare. Ability to handle frequent regional travel and adapt quickly to new school environments. Exceptional communication skills to interact with students, staff, and families. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, especially during screenings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct hearing screenings and maintain accurate health records. Deliver direct nursing services and care plans to students as required. Travel frequently to assigned schools across multiple counties as scheduled. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other healthcare professionals. Provide health education and counseling to students, families, and staff.
