Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and daily health support to students in school settings Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies Monitor and document student health status, vital signs, and response to care Implement individualized health plans and support IEP-related health needs Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid, including crisis intervention Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support student access to learning Educate students and staff on health, safety, and infection control practices Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and required reports Communicate regularly with Epic clinical support for guidance and professional growth Uphold confidentiality, student rights, and district and state regulations Required Skills Medication administration Vital signs monitoring Care plan implementation Tracheostomy and G-tube care (as applicable) Wound care and first aid Electronic health record documentation Infection control practices Health screening and assessment Care coordination with IEP teams Parent and staff communication
