Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students in school settings, including medication administration and treatments Support students with chronic and complex medical needs, following individualized care plans and IEPs Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to illnesses and injuries on campus Document care, medications, and incidents accurately in compliance with school and nursing standards Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to promote student safety, access, and participation in learning Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and infection control as appropriate Participate in IEP or student support meetings as needed and contribute to health planning Maintain compliance with state nursing regulations, school district policies, and confidentiality requirements Required Skills Pediatric nursing Medication administration Tracheostomy and G-tube care Wound care and first aid Vital signs monitoring Care plan and IEP documentation Health assessments and screenings Emergency response in school settings Infection control practices Family and educator communication
