1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN to provide neonatal intensive care while also floating as an NRP nurse and to postpartum units. Details Work in the NICU 1 unit within a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 36-48 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Unit needs Post Partum experience NICU RNs are required to float as NRP nurses and to postpartum units Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS certification required from an approved vendor Current NRP certification required Minimum two years of recent experience in the NICU specialty required, with experience within the last three months BSN and acute care facility experience preferred No candidates with a prior hit on license will be considered Additional Information Delivers coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs, develops and implements care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, and compassionate care Provides education to patients, families, and team members and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care Delegates duties appropriately and coordinates the healthcare team Required to receive all vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions possible Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
