Responsibilities include:

Safely administering chemotherapy, hydration, and other prescribed medications in accordance with provider orders, established protocols, and demonstrated competencies. Preparing or mixing medications when assigned, within your training and competency, and in accordance with applicable standards and clinic policies. Assessing patients before and during treatment, monitoring for adverse reactions, and responding promptly to changes in condition. Educating patients and families about treatment, potential side effects, symptom management, and when to contact the care team. Documenting assessments, vital signs, allergies, medication changes, treatments, and patient responses accurately. Coordinating patient care and supporting an organized, efficient infusion room. Maintaining safe medication-handling and infection-prevention practices.

Qualifications Required:

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Active California RN license in good standing by the start date. Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills. A commitment to compassionate care and patient safety. Willingness to complete required oncology training and maintain role-specific competencies.

Preferred:

Two or more years of recent oncology or infusion nursing experience. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Spanish-language proficiency.
