1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN for a day shift position requiring 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience and a California RN license. Details Work in a 24-bed Pediatrics unit, including 4 beds designated for epilepsy video telemetry monitoring Care for patients ranging from newborn through seventeen years old General med/surg population including respiratory, surgical, neurological, and infectious conditions Unit experiences high admission churn, ranging from 4 to 26 visits daily All-RN staffing model with no CNAs used Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM) Every other weekend required Floating required to NICU, PICU, and Eating Disorder Unit with a 6-hour orientation provided Schedules are released 2-3 weeks in advance on a 4-week cycle Charting completed in Epic Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred Epic EMR experience required Additional Information May be one of only two RNs on shift at night, requiring strong independent clinical judgment Travelers are often used to fill gaps for short-staffed shifts, including Sunday nights Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no holiday RTO accepted First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
