Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Montebello, CA Overview:
Our Pediatric Wellness Center in Montebello is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to under-privileged youth, including children in foster care. This role combines direct clinical care with team supervision and care coordination to improve long-term health outcomes for children and families in the community.
Position Offers:
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Competitive salary: $100,000-$110,000 annually (DOE) Sign-on bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Retirement savings plan with match Paid holidays and employee wellness days
Generous PTO Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a clinical team of 4 while coordinating team-based medical care for children in foster care Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments, including physical exams and growth and development evaluations Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals Provide family-centered health education and medical updates to families and caregivers Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with agency and licensing requirements Recognize and respond to pediatric emergencies, including transporting minors when required Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team and support health promotion initiatives, including immunizations and preventive screenings
Qualifications:
BSN required, with either minimum 2 years of pediatric child welfare experience, minimum 1 year of public health experience, or NP credential Current, unrestricted RN license in California Proven pediatric nursing experience with strong assessment skills and EHR proficiency Valid driver's license required for potential emergency transport of minors
