About the Hospital A respected county medical center in coastal California is seeking experienced Labor & Delivery RNs to join its Women's Services team. The unit includes 8 Labor & Delivery beds and 8 Postpartum beds, a collaborative setting where nurses care for patients from labor through recovery and discharge. Pay & Schedule $65.50-$89.41/hr Full-time Night differential: $4.50/hr Weekend differential: $1.25/hr Charge pay: $5.00/hr Bilingual pay: $45.00 per pay period BSN or MSN differential: $1.20/hr (BSN/MSN combined: $2.40/hr) On-call pay: $22.00/hr Schedule may include all shifts, including weekends and holidays Qualifications Active California RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start) At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required BSN or MSN highly desirable Responsibilities Assess, plan, and provide nursing care to L&D and postpartum patients Prepare patients for treatment and assist physicians with exams and diagnostic tests Administer prescribed treatments and medications Chart treatments and report significant changes in patient condition Provide discharge teaching and patient education Serve as a resource and provide orientation to new staff and students Benefits CalPERS pension (2% at 62, vested at 5 years) plus additional 401(a) retirement 29 days of PTO in the first year Medical coverage with several PPO and HMO options, plus dental and vision Paid ACLS, PALS, and NRP attendance and renewals Certification leave for specialized certifications Education Assistance Program Benefits begin the 1st of the month following your start date About the Area This location offers the best of coastal California living with a more affordable lifestyle than many larger California cities.
