Infection Preventionist / Infection Control Nurse (LVN) - Napa Post Acute π Napa, CA | π° $95,000-$105,000/year | Full-Time Lead Infection Prevention at a Respected Skilled Nursing Facility Napa Post Acute is hiring an experienced Infection Preventionist (LVN) to lead our infection prevention and control program. If you're a detail-oriented nurse who's passionate about patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality care in a skilled nursing setting, we want to hear from you. Why Join Napa Post Acute? π₯ Stable, well-established facility with a supportive leadership team π Real ownership β lead and shape the infection control program π€ Collaborative, interdisciplinary work environment π Room to grow into quality improvement and leadership initiatives What You'll Do Develop, implement, and maintain the facility's infection prevention & control program Conduct infection surveillance, case tracking, and monthly reporting Ensure compliance with CDC, CDPH, CMS, and OSHA regulations and standard/universal precautions Lead outbreak investigations and coordinate response efforts Perform infection control rounds, audits, and risk assessments Provide staff orientation and ongoing education on infection control, hand hygiene, and bloodborne pathogens Partner with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary teams to improve quality and safety outcomes Maintain TB testing protocols, employee health records, and required infection control documentation What We're Looking For Active, unencumbered California LVN license (required) 2+ years of nursing experience; infection prevention or skilled nursing/post-acute experience preferred Working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious disease, and aseptic technique Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Self-starter who can work independently and lead initiatives Current CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Infection Preventionist training or certification (IP, CIC β or willingness to obtain) Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) Background in quality improvement or clinical leadership Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Join Napa Post Acute and play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of our residents and staff.
