Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care :

RNs assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform medical treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Patient Advocacy :

RNs act as advocates for their patients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected within the healthcare system.

Collaboration :

Infection Control :

They ensure compliance with hygiene and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within healthcare settings.

Emotional Support :

RNs provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful or difficult times, offering comfort and compassion.

Supervision :

RNs may supervise and mentor other nursing staff, such as nurse aides or LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses), ensuring that the care team works efficiently and effectively.
