Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, and wound suturing. Manage complex care procedures such as ventilator support, catheterization, dialysis, and tube feeding. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans aligned with patients' needs in settings like ICU, telemetry units, or long-term care facilities. Conduct triage assessments for urgent cases in emergency rooms or urgent care clinics to prioritize patient treatment efficiently. Educate patients and families on health management strategies, including pain management, medication administration, and discharge planning. Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or country. Proven experience working in critical care environments such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), or emergency rooms. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing, and catheterization. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics (memory care & dementia), neonatal units (neonatal ventilator), or individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy or hospice & palliative medicine is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with critical care response procedures and acute pain management expertise.
