1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric OR RN with general surgery experience for a fast-paced procedure center requiring active CA licensure and prior travel experience. Details Pediatric OR / Procedure Center setting within a children's hospital Primarily inpatient and outpatient pediatric surgical patients, with adults on rare occasions Minor surgical cases across ENT, Plastics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Dentistry, and Oncology Willingness to train to endoscopy (GI & Pulmonary) if needed 1:1 patient ratio Documentation via SurgiNet (Cerner) Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:00 AM

• 4:30 PM) Call requirement of 5 weekday and 2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Weekend coverage required No floating required Requirements Active California RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute or outpatient experience, covering the majority of listed surgical specialties Cerner charting system experience required Trauma Level I experience preferred Prior travel experience required Skills in administration of blood & blood products, infection control, laser safety, specimen handling/labeling, peripheral IV starts, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and urinary bladder catheterization Additional Information Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a wide range of pediatric surgical specialties including general surgery, urology, craniofacial/plastics, orthopedics, gynecology, ophthalmology, and ENT procedures Experience with equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris systems utilized Emergency management skills including code response, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, and malignant hyperthermia management required Up to 16 hours of orientation modules may be required and are completed during orientation Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with none allowed during the first week of the assignment Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted First-time travelers are not accepted for this role Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before reapplying Two supervisor-level references from the applicable unit required, dated within 1 year of start or from the most recent employer
