Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Executive Director of Home Health Operations who is also a Registered Nurse, with a strong nursing background to lead and oversee all aspects of our home health agency. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including acute, hospice, senior care, and hospital environments, with a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams. As an executive leader, you will be responsible for shaping strategic initiatives, optimizing clinical operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care across all service lines. Your leadership will inspire teams to achieve high-quality outcomes while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Lead the overall operation of the home health agency, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations including HIPAA and healthcare quality standards. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand services, improve patient outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. Oversee clinical staff management, including nurse management, case management, and interdisciplinary team coordination to ensure high standards of patient care. Monitor and improve utilization management processes, productivity metrics, and budget adherence to maximize resource utilization. Ensure accurate documentation and management of medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality standards. Drive quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data, implementing best practices, and leading accreditation efforts. Foster a culture of compliance with healthcare policies such as Medicare/Medicaid regulations (MDS), healthcare staff management protocols, and safety standards in home health operations. Collaborate with community partners and referral sources to promote service growth and community engagement. Skills Extensive experience in home health agency operations with strong knowledge of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. Proven leadership in nursing management or executive roles within hospice care, senior care facilities, hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), or ICU environments. Critical care experience including emergency medicine, Level II Trauma Center experience, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or acute care settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and case management processes. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems along with productivity software for operational oversight. Skilled in budgeting, utilization management, quality improvement leadership, and healthcare operations management. Excellent communication skills combined with technical proficiency in healthcare software systems to support staff training and process improvements. $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
