  • $23•25/hour We are seeking an experienced Oncology & Chemotherapy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team in Pomona, Century city , Torrance , Pomona or Fountain Valley .

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and clinically strong RN who is passionate about providing exceptional care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, infusion therapy, and other oncology treatments . The Oncology/Infusion RN will play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care throughout the patient's treatment journey. This position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, excellent patient education skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and the broader multidisciplinary care team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in oncology, chemotherapy administration, infusion nursing, and patient care coordination and is committed to creating a supportive and compassionate patient experience. Compensation $115,000

  • 124,000 per year Salary will be based on experience, clinical expertise, oncology/infusion experience, and overall qualifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesOncology & Infusion Care Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic therapies, hydration, and other infusion treatments. Safely administer chemotherapy and other high-risk medications in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice. Complete comprehensive pre-treatment nursing assessments and identify clinical concerns requiring provider evaluation. Monitor patients closely throughout treatments for adverse reactions, infusion reactions, medication side effects, and changes in clinical condition. Initiate appropriate interventions and promptly escalate significant clinical changes to the oncology provider. Manage vascular access devices including peripheral IVs and central venous access according to established protocols. Monitor laboratory results and treatment parameters to ensure patients meet clinical criteria prior to treatment. Verify chemotherapy orders, treatment protocols, medication doses, laboratory values, and required pre-medications prior to administration. Provide post-treatment monitoring, discharge instructions, and education regarding potential side effects and when to seek medical attention. Patient Education & Support Educate patients and caregivers regarding chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, treatment schedules, expected side effects, and symptom management. Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the cancer treatment process. Reinforce treatment plans and help patients understand their medications, follow-up appointments, laboratory requirements, and care instructions. Recognize psychosocial concerns and connect patients with appropriate clinical and supportive resources. Promote patient safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life throughout treatment. Care Coordination Coordinate patient care with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, laboratory personnel, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Communicate clinically significant findings and treatment concerns to the appropriate provider. Assist with treatment planning, follow-up coordination, referrals, and continuity of care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. Follow established oncology, chemotherapy, medication safety, infection prevention, and emergency response protocols. Clinical Excellence Maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing practices, chemotherapy protocols, immunotherapy, and infusion therapies. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Follow OSHA, state, federal, and organizational requirements related to hazardous medications and chemotherapy handling. Maintain competency in emergency response and management of infusion-related reactions. Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for patients and families. Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California . Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). 4+ years of professional RN experience . 2+ years of oncology, chemotherapy, infusion, or ambulatory oncology nursing experience . Demonstrated experience administering chemotherapy and/or other oncology treatments. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong knowledge of oncology nursing principles, medication administration, and patient safety. Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient oncology/infusion environment. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care. Preferred Qualifications BSN preferred. OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred. Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred. Experience with immunotherapy and biologic agents. Experience with central lines, ports, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices. Experience managing infusion reactions and oncology emergencies. Experience in an outpatient oncology or infusion center. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Experience working with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
