Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute care to long-term and specialty care, empowering patients on their journey to wellness. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other methods following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Assist with complex procedures including suturing, dialysis management, cardiac catheterization, ostomy care, and ventilator management. Provide specialized care for diverse patient populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care residents, and hospice patients. Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Manage emergency situations utilizing critical care skills including airway management, trauma medicine at Level I/II trauma centers or emergency room settings. Document all patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA standards. Support infection control protocols through specimen collection/processing and laboratory experience to ensure safe clinical practices. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as nutrition, pain management, family planning, and post-acute care instructions. Experience Proven experience working in hospital medicine or acute care environments such as ICU or trauma centers; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding and CPT coding is advantageous. Prior experience in specialized fields such as cardiology (including catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatments), infectious disease care, or behavioral health is highly valued. Background in nursing home or assisted living settings with expertise in geriatrics and dementia/alzheimer's/dementia care preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus. Critical care experience including ventilator management, acute pain management, triage procedures, and neonatal resuscitation procedures enhances your candidacy. Certification in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), or pediatric advanced life support (PALS) is required; additional specialty certifications are beneficial.
