The RN will utilize advanced clinical skills such as airway management, IV infusion, suturing, and ventilator support. Candidates should be prepared to handle diverse cases including trauma, infectious disease, pediatric emergencies, and critical care scenarios. A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology is essential for maintaining patient confidentiality and precise communication. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival and continuously monitor vital signs to identify changes in condition. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following established protocols while maintaining aseptic technique. Manage airway support using ventilators and perform advanced procedures such as intubation when necessary. Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Assist in trauma response efforts by applying trauma medicine principles within a Level I or Level II trauma center setting. Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge instructions. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, and memory care patients. Perform laboratory specimen collection and processing; interpret diagnostic results to inform clinical decisions. Support patients experiencing acute pain or requiring complex interventions such as catheterization or ostomy care. Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures like suturing or invasive interventions; ensure infection control protocols are followed. Participate in triage assessments for urgent cases; prioritize patient needs based on severity. Engage in continuous education on evolving practices such as botulinum toxin treatments or hospice & palliative medicine when applicable. Experience Minimum of two years of ER nursing experience within a hospital environment; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred. Proven proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding required. Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, cardiac catheterization support, and infectious disease care. Experience working with diverse patient populations across settings such as inpatient hospital units, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments. Strong background in acute pain management, trauma medicine, pediatric emergency response (including neonatal resuscitation), and post-acute care scenarios. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases is advantageous. Additional experience in specialized areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health support, or geriatrics enhances suitability for this role.
