Travel RNs may work in:
Emergency Department (ED) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Telemetry Trauma Centers (Level I & II) Labor & Delivery (L&D) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Outpatient Clinics Long-Term Care & Skilled Nursing Facilities Hospice & Palliative Care Behavioral Health Home Health & Community Care Urgent Care Occupational Health Travel RNs provide safe, high-quality patient care while adapting to different facilities, teams, and patient populations. Duties Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and provide appropriate nursing care. Administer medications, injections, and IV treatments. Document patient care using EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks . Assist with procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, suturing, and ventilator management when required. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on patient care, triage, discharge planning, and case management. Follow infection-control, aseptic, and patient-safety procedures. Care for diverse populations, including pediatric, adult, geriatric, behavioral health, and special-needs patients . Provide specialized care based on department and clinical experience. Experience & Qualifications Registered Nurse 2 years + experience in hospital, emergency, or other clinical settings. ICU, trauma, critical care, or specialty-department experience preferred. 2 years + experience with ventilator management, trauma care, infectious diseases, or acute pain management is a plus. Experience with Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks preferred. Long-term care, home health, urgent care, or community-care experience is beneficial. Experience caring for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, disabilities, or special needs is preferred.
BLS, ACLS, NRP
