This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and work across PreK and K-12 school settings in the region. You'll enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week within innovative and diverse school communities, supporting students from early childhood through adolescence.
Key Qualifications:
Valid RN license with California state credentials required School Nurse Credential (would need to be a credentialed School Nurse) Experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desired Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to manage individualized student health plans and respond calmly in urgent situations Proficiency with health screenings, recordkeeping, and compliance with state immunization requirements Compassionate, professional approach with students, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care and first aid to students and staff Manage medications, chronic conditions, and emergency situations on campus Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) in accordance with state guidelines Support IEP/504 teams with health-related information and recommendations Serve as a health resource for families and educational teams Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school policies Promote a safe and healthy school environment through education and advocacy This is an exciting chance to make a difference while gaining valuable school-based experience.
