Job Description

Epic Special Education Staffing seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support students' health and learning in diverse school settings. In this role, you'll provide direct student care, monitor chronic conditions, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate health documentation. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and IEP teams to promote student safety and access to education. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students in school settings, including medication administration and treatments per physician orders. Monitor, assess, and document student health status, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with school and state guidelines. Support students with chronic or complex medical needs, ensuring safe participation in educational activities. Collaborate with school staff, families, and IEP/504 teams to implement health components of student plans. Respond to health emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate care with community healthcare providers as needed. Educate students and staff on health, safety, and infection control practices. Maintain accurate, timely records and comply with HIPAA/FERPA and district policies. Partner with Epic Special Education Staffing clinical team for guidance, professional development, and best practices.
