Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Travel Position MRG Exams - 4.0 South Gate, CA Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Driver's License Advanced practice provider Full Job Description Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Veterans Disability Assessments Work can be performed by a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Any U.S. state provider license may be accepted — license portability rules apply. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform medical disability assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. In this role, you will review each Veteran's medical records electronically through a secure web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical examination. You will then document your findings and complete the required VA questionnaires through the online portal. This is an assessment-only position. You will not provide treatment or prescribe medication. You will not make disability determinations; all disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Position Details Perform disability assessments on approximately 3-5 Veterans per day In-person clinical position Assessments are performed in a medical office or purpose-built mobile clinic Review medical records and conduct focused physical examinations Complete required documentation and provide medical opinions based on your findings Travel commitment of at least 2 weeks per month 'Typical Schedule' - Travel to the assigned location Sunday evening and return home Friday evening or Saturday morning Travel is arranged and paid for, including flights, hotel, and rental car What We're Looking For Interested in performing independent medical assessments Strong ability to review and analyze medical records and examination findings Able to complete questionnaires and provide medical opinions based on clinical findings Strong time-management and organizational skills Comfortable working independently and using electronic medical record/web-based systems Enjoys travel Providers with multiple state licenses are preferred Requirements Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Physician Assistant license must be NCCPA accredited Valid, current driver's license Automobile liability insurance that meets MRG Exams' requirements Benefits $3,000 per week Training and ongoing support provided No requirement to apply for multiple state licenses Health insurance options available Typical workload of 3-5 Veterans per day All assessments performed in a clinical setting Flights, hotel, and rental car arranged and paid for — no out-of-pocket travel expenses
