Pay:

$60/hr to $70/hr Job Description We are seeking an experienced Endocrinology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in an outpatient setting. The nurse will care for patients with endocrine conditions, including diabetes and thyroid disease , while providing clinical support, medication management, patient education, and telephone triage. The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients with endocrine conditions, including diabetes and thyroid disorders. Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, pain assessments, health history, allergies, and other clinical information. Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication management. Monitor blood glucose using glucometers and perform subcutaneous medication administration. Assist with endocrine-related procedures, including thyroid biopsies. Perform urine dipstick testing and urinalysis as needed. Provide patient education regarding medications, disease management, and follow-up care. Conduct telephone triage and follow-up calls with patients. Respond to medication refill requests and pharmacy calls. Coordinate referrals and assist with imaging results and follow-up. Prepare patient charts and complete required authorization and disability forms. Assist with scheduling, insurance-related processes, and other administrative clinical duties. Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC . Communicate patient information effectively using SBAR . Follow universal precautions and proper biohazard waste disposal procedures. Collaborate with providers, pharmacy staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Support patients throughout their treatment and promote continuity of care. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for practice in California. Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience . Recent experience in Endocrinology is required. Outpatient nursing experience preferred. Strong experience with diabetes and thyroid-related patient care. Proficiency with EPIC documentation preferred. Strong patient education and communication skills. Ability to perform medication reconciliation, blood glucose monitoring, and subcutaneous medication administration.
