1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift acute care position requiring a CA RN license and prior Med Surg/Telemetry experience. Details Acute care Telemetry unit setting Patient population includes Med Surg/Telemetry, with ratios of 1:4 for Telemetry and 1:5 for Med Surg Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active CA RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (PALS preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience required Prior Epic charting experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral/PICC line care, and blood product administration Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, and ABG interpretation LTAC experience preferred Pediatric experience preferred Additional Information Provide holistic, individualized nursing care including assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care plans Educate patients and families on treatment plans and transitions of care Mentor and orient newly hired staff as needed Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at local rate Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
