Night Shift Position Summary:
Under the leadership of the Unit Director, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, the Staff Nurse II is responsible and accountable for planning directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad nursing knowledge. The Staff Nurse II is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume Relief Charge Nurse duty as oriented and assigned.Education:
As determined by California Board of Registered Nurses.Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of inpatient telemetry unit experience in an acute care setting; Completion of applicable Hospital and department specific RN competencies (within 3 months of hire/transfer). Licenses and/orCertifications:
State of California RN license and American Heart Association Healthcare ProviderBLS. ACLS
