J OB OVERVIEW
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Patient Care Unit. The RN must be able to function independently as the primary nurse in a rural Critical Access Hospital, delivering safe, high-quality care to patients with varying needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Patient Care Unit (PCU) , caring for patients with varying levels of acuity and complex medical needs. Continuously assess patients, monitor vital signs and cardiac status, and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention. Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other prescribed interventions safely and accurately. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care and respond to changes in condition. Educate patients and families, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and promote safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient outcomes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado , or ability to obtain prior to start date Basic Life Support (BLS) .
