Job Description
Search positions Next job Clinical Practice Specialists focus on either nursing or behavioral health practice and serve as leaders in advancing clinical excellence. They improve patient outcomes and care delivery through evidence-based practice, consultation, education, and research. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, they influence practice across the care continuum and help establish and uphold organizational standards. The Labor and Delivery department at the Colorado Fetal Care Center (CFCC) at Children's Hospital Colorado offers perinatal care for expecting mothers with high risk fetal conditions. Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, ours is one of the largest and most technologically advanced fetal care centers in the country. Our talented team of specialized MDs, Anesthesiologists, RNs, surgical technicians and sonographers are highly trained to provide a deep level of experience and expertise for a vast array of rare and complex conditions. As a nurse on our team, you will collaborate regularly with maternal fetal medicine specialists and neonatologists. Families cared for in the Colorado Fetal Care Center seek our expertise in neonatal congenital conditions and fetal anomalies. Often after delivery, the neonate transitions to the NICU for ongoing care. Team members provide coordinated care to families facing rare diagnoses such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), bladder outlet obstruction, twin-to-twin transfusion and myelomeningocele. Specialized interventions provided in our NICU include Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), therapeutic hypothermia, and inhaled nitric oxide.
