Job Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Job Summary Provides rapid assessment, triage, and nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department. Prioritizes care based on acuity and collaborates with the emergency team to stabilize and treat patients efficiently. Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required) Minimum 1-2 years of emergency or critical care nursing experience (Preferred) Licenses & Certifications Current RN license in state of practice (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Required) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (Preferred) Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification (Preferred) Key Responsibilities Performs rapid triage and assessment of patients presenting to the emergency department. Administers medications, IV fluids, and treatments based on physician orders and protocols. Responds to trauma activations, codes, and other emergent situations. Monitors patients for changes in condition and escalates care as needed. Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges in a fast-paced environment.
