9650981-80736 Job Description Make a meaningful impact on the well-being of students as a school-based Registered Nurse in a dynamic district-wide setting. This flexible contract opportunity is perfect for passionate RNs ready to start right away and make a difference supporting K-12 students through December 2026. The position offers between 16 and 32 hours per week, depending on the needs of multiple schools in the area. Youll provide crucial health services, advocacy, and expertise across a diverse caseload of approximately 25-30 students, with the potential to support additional students as district needs evolve.

What Were Looking For:

Current, active RN license in Colorado School nursing experience preferred, but not required Knowledge of care for chronic and complex pediatric conditions (diabetes, asthma, seizures, allergies, etc.) Comfortable providing health services in K-12 educational environments Experience with individualized health plans, IEPs, and Section 504 plans Strong skills in documentation, organization, and communication Ability to train, delegate, and supervise health-related tasks to non-nursing school personnel

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and document all medication administration for students Coordinate care for students with complex medical needs Train and delegate healthcare tasks to appropriate school staff per state regulations Support individualized care through development and implementation of health plans, and attend relevant meetings Assist with immunization compliance and state-mandated health reporting Train and provide resources to staff for emergency medications and health protocols Serve as a liaison among families, healthcare providers, administrators, and school personnel Your skills and compassion will help shape a safe, supportive school environment for students with a range of health needs.
