We are currently seeking a qualified Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - Full time at Lamar, CO.
Pay Range:
$75/hr - $80/hr | Weekly Pay 13 weeks Contract Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Job Description The Labor & Delivery RN provides direct nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, as well as care for newborns. The RN monitors patients, assists with deliveries and procedures, administers medications, provides education and emotional support, and ensures safe, quality maternal and newborn care. Responsibilities Assess and monitor mothers and newborns throughout labor and postpartum. Prepare for C-sections, inductions, and deliveries. Provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. Administer IV medications and other prescribed treatments. Prepare delivery rooms and maintain necessary equipment. Provide patient and family education and emotional support. Document nursing care accurately. Follow infection-control and department policies. Coordinate patient transfers when needed. Respond effectively to emergencies and high-stress situations. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current Colorado RN license. Current CPR/BLS certification. NRP and ACLS certification required within the specified employment period. Four years of Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery experience preferred. Strong communication and patient-care skills. Knowledge of maternal, newborn, sterile technique, and infection-control practices. Schedule & Working Conditions Full-time, 36 hours per week 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM May rotate shifts or areas based on staffing and patient census. On-call required.
