Flexible Hours Position Overview Flatirons FlexCare for Seniors is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight and support for clients receiving In-Home Support Services (IHSS). This is primarily a field-based, client-facing position, with most responsibilities completed one-on-one with clients in their homes. The RN will conduct client assessments, develop and update care plans, provide IHSS oversight, train and supervise attendants, and monitor clients' progress and changing needs. Our office is located in Westminster, Colorado. Occasional in-office collaboration and team meetings will be required, but the majority of work will take place in client homes throughout the Denver Metro Area and Northern Colorado. The ideal candidate is an independent, organized, and compassionate RN who is comfortable working in a community-based setting and enjoys building relationships with clients, families, caregivers, and care teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct client admission and initial assessments in the client's home. Develop individualized care plans based on each client's needs, preferences, and goals. Complete required IHSS oversight and supervisory visits. Monitor client progress and identify changes in condition, needs, or circumstances. Review and update care plans as client needs change. Provide ongoing clinical oversight of IHSS attendants and direct-care staff. Train attendants on client-specific care plans, tasks, safety practices, and appropriate care techniques. Provide guidance and support to attendants regarding client care. Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, case managers, and agency staff regarding care needs and changes. Identify concerns that may require additional services, interventions, or follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely clinical and supervisory documentation. Ensure services are provided in accordance with the client's care plan, agency policies, and applicable requirements. Participate in occasional in-office collaboration, case discussions, and team meetings. Travel regularly throughout the Denver Metro Area and Northern Colorado to complete home visits. Qualifications Required Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado . Valid driver's license. Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance. Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Denver Metro Area and Northern Colorado. Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Comfortable providing care and conducting assessments in a variety of home environments. Preferred Experience with IHSS or Colorado Medicaid waiver programs. Home health, home care, community health, long-term care, or other community-based nursing experience. Experience developing and managing individualized care plans. Experience training or supervising caregivers, attendants, or direct-care staff. Familiarity with the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. What to Expect in This Role This position offers an opportunity for an RN who enjoys direct client interaction, independent work, and flexible scheduling. Rather than working primarily in an office or clinical facility, you will spend most of your time visiting clients in their homes, assessing their needs, supporting their care teams, and helping ensure they receive appropriate and consistent services. You will work closely with the Flatirons FlexCare team while maintaining the independence needed to manage your assigned client visits and responsibilities. Work Environment Primarily client homes throughout the Denver Metro Area and Northern Colorado. Occasional work and collaboration at our Westminster office. Regular local travel is an essential function of the position. Flexible, per-diem scheduling based on client and agency needs. Compensation $35.00-$45.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
