In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services during overnight hours, fostering a compassionate environment for patients and their families. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your critical care skills and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Duties Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories using advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and immunizations, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Monitor patients' conditions continuously through telemetry, ventilator management, and cardiac catheterization procedures when applicable. Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and wound management in accordance with best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, trauma patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records and medical documentation. Provide patient education on medication administration, pain management strategies, discharge planning, and health coaching to promote recovery and wellness at home or in community settings. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state certification. Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or trauma center background; experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care. Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, tube feeding, ventilator management, and specimen collection/processing. Prior experience working in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, urgent care or outpatient settings is beneficial; familiarity with infectious disease care and infection control protocols is advantageous. Excellent assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively; experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred. Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
