POSITION OVERVIEW
Aaron Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to fill Supervisor and Charge Nurse roles on our care team. In these positions, you will provide clinical leadership, oversee daily nursing operations, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.
RN SUPERVISOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all nursing staff and operations across the unit or facility during assigned shift Ensure compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations and facility policies Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; provide clinical guidance and performance oversight Respond to and manage clinical emergencies; serve as the on-shift clinical decision-maker Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) on staffing, quality improvement, and care initiatives Conduct or oversee resident assessments, care plan reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings Manage incident reporting, grievance documentation, and family communications as needed Ensure accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation and medical records Support onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing education of nursing staff Serve as a resource for complex clinical situations and escalating concerns
RN CHARGE NURSE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee nursing care delivery on an assigned unit during the scheduled shift Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols Conduct resident assessments and monitor for changes in condition; escalate to supervisor as needed Direct and delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs; provide real-time clinical support Coordinate physician communications, orders, and follow-through on the unit Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers including required clinical documentation Perform skilled nursing procedures including wound care, catheter care, tube feedings, and more Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in the electronic health record Participate in care conferences, quality improvement efforts, and regulatory compliance activities Promote a safe, respectful, and team-oriented environment for staff and residents
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Active Connecticut RN license in good standing (required) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (BSN preferred) Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience required for Supervisor role; preferred for Charge Nurse Prior supervisory or charge experience preferred for RN Supervisor role CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills Excellent communication, organizational, and team management abilities Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
