Job Description

Staff RNs needed for Griffin Hospital's EmPATH. Sign-On bonus for experienced full-time RNs is available. New grads with a passion for Emergency medicine and Behavioral Health are welcome to apply. Griffin is now embarking upon a new journey in the opening of its EmPATH unit; Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing unit. This will be the first EmPATH unit in the State of Connecticut. This unit will be a safe place for patients in a mental health or behavioral health crisis to receive patient focused care in a warm, calming and dignified environment. Griffin Hospital is a 160-bed acute care community hospital serving more than 100,000 residents of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Region. Griffin Hospital also serves as the flagship hospital for Planetree, an international leader in patient-centered care and has received national recognition for creating a facility and approach to patient care that is responsive to the needs of patients. Griffin is recognized for having industry-leading patient satisfaction ratings and has received numerous quality and clinical excellence awards. It is the only hospital to be named on FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for 10 consecutive years, and has been named a "World's Best Hospital" by Newsweek for seven consecutive years. Griffin's award-winning patient-centered care model allows nurses to truly connect with their patients and feel the sense of pride and fulfillment that can only come from knowing your work is more than just a job - you are helping others heal. As an independent community hospital, Griffin operates on a flat organizational structure to promote increased involvement by nurses in the care decision-making process so that they feel more connected to the medical care team. Griffin's suburban atmosphere offers an easy commute, away from congested cities with easy to find free parking. Employees can also take advantage of generous benefits and wellness programs that add a distinct advantage in its employee compensation.
