Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addictions Treatment Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to individuals battling substance use disorders, supporting their journey toward recovery. Your expertise will ensure safe medication administration, patient assessment, and the delivery of holistic care within a supportive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients while working in a collaborative and energetic setting. Responsibilities Administer medications, including opioid antagonists and other treatments, following established protocols and safety standards Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, mental status evaluations, and physical examinations tailored to addiction treatment needs Monitor patients for adverse reactions or withdrawal symptoms, intervening promptly to ensure safety and comfort Educate patients on medication management, relapse prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans aligned with best practices in addiction medicine Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Assist with patient triage during intake and emergency situations, ensuring timely intervention and appropriate escalation of care Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration or licensure Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges preferred Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) such as buprenorphine or naltrexone Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation purposes Critical care experience or background in emergency medicine is highly desirable to manage acute situations effectively Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and aseptic technique to ensure safe patient care Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate effectively with team members Ability to work in fast-paced environments such as inpatient units or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail Join us as an Addictions Treatment RN and be part of a passionate team committed to transforming lives through compassionate care. $70.00 - $86.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
