We are currently seeking a caring, dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Learning Campus team in a part-time capacity. This position works approximately 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday , supporting students with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in our special education program. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN looking for a consistent weekday schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young adults. Position Overview The Registered Nurse provides school-based nursing services to students, promoting their health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day. Working collaboratively with educators, related service providers, families, and administration, the RN helps ensure students' medical needs are met so they can fully participate in their educational programs. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and individualized health care plans. Administer medications and treatments in compliance with state regulations and agency policies. Monitor and respond to student health needs, illnesses, and medical emergencies. Maintain accurate health records and documentation. Collaborate with staff, families, and outside medical providers to support student health and safety. Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development. Qualifications Active, current, and unrestricted Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
