Naugatuck, CT Job Details Full-time Up to $58 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals requiring tube feeding School experience Spanish RN License Collaboration Tube feeding Pediatric unit experience Working with pediatric populations Pediatrics Neurology Experience working with individuals with neurological conditions Full Job Description The Nurse Network is seeking a compassionate, dependable, Spanish-speaking Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for a student with complex medical needs in a school setting.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM - 3:10 PM This rewarding opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays while allowing you to make a meaningful impact in a student's daily life. The RN will accompany the student during transportation to and from school, provide skilled nursing care throughout the school day, and serve as an essential member of the student's care team. The student requires skilled nursing care, including: Management of chronic interstitial lung disease Oxygen therapy with titration based on physician orders and oxygen saturation levels Monitoring and management of specialized respiratory equipment G-tube feedings and medication administration Mobility assistance as needed Communication support using assistive technology Responsibilities Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care throughout the school day. Accompany the student during transportation to and from school. Perform respiratory assessments and manage oxygen therapy according to physician orders. Administer G-tube feedings and medications as prescribed. Monitor the student's condition and respond appropriately to changes. Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate documentation and follow physician orders and nursing standards. Qualifications Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Spanish-speaking required. Minimum of 1 year of G-tube experience. Minimum of 1 year of respiratory care experience. Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience. Minimum of 1 year of neurological care experience. Experience with oxygen therapy preferred. School nursing or home care experience is a plus. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
