Anticipated Hiring:
mid-August Westminster School, one of the leading independent boarding schools in the country, is a diverse, close-knit community of approximately 190 employees and 430 male and female students (seventy-five percent boarding, twenty-five percent day students) set on a 200-acre campus in Simsbury, Connecticut. General Summary The Westminster School Health Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to fill a variety of open schedules for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our health center is a CT state-licensed infirmary open Monday-Saturday during the academic year (September through May). All nurses report directly to the Clinical Director of the Health Center. Available Schedules On-Call - be available by phone every Friday from 11pm-7am as well as weekends (on a rotational basis) from 1pm Saturday through 7am Monday; responsible for phone triage and potential overnight stay for patient care. Part Time - work onsite in our health center every Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm-11pm; participate in on-call weekend rotation (1pm Saturday through 7am Monday); responsible for phone triage and potential overnight stay for patient care. Per Diem - cover open onsite and on-call shifts as needed. Daytime availability a plus. Job Qualifications CT Licensure required with at least 1-2 years of experience. Experience in pediatrics/adolescence preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience with August Schools a plus. Overall comfort with technology required. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required. Ability to respond to high-stress situations in a calm and efficient manner. Excellent interpersonal skills, including sensitivity to and experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be extremely reliable and flexible. Must be First Aid/AED/CPR certified. Current driver's license with clean driving record required.
