SUMMARY :
The Student Nurse Advisor (SNA)/Nurse Residency Program (NRP) Coordinator oversees and coordinates the Student Nurse Technician (SNT) Program and NRP. The SNA/NRP Coordinator collaborates with Human Resources to recruit Student Nurse Technicians (SNTs), Graduate Nurses (GNs) and Graduate Practical Nurses (GPNs). The SNA/NRP Coordinator leads the design and implementation of SNT program and NRP program curricula, provides oversight of residents' progression through all program components and development of innovative strategies for retention of nurses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CATEGORY
Recruitment, Academic Partnerships, and Workforce Pipeline Development:
Collaborates with Human Resources, nursing leadership, and academic institutions to recruit and retain Student Nurse Technicians (SNTs), Graduate Nurses (GNs), Graduate Practical Nurses (GPNs), and Nurse Residents. Participates in candidate interviews and hiring processes while developing strategies to strengthen the nursing workforce pipeline. Builds and maintains partnerships with schools of nursing, coordinates student clinical placements and capstone experiences, conducts recruitment activities, and evaluates the student experience through surveys and feedback. 2. Student Nurse Technician Program Leadership Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates all aspects of the Student Nurse Technician Program. Designs and delivers orientation, coordinates unit-based onboarding and preceptor match, facilitates professional development and clinical reflection activities, and provides mentorship throughout the student experience. Assesses learning needs, supports competency development, assists with NCLEX preparation, and promotes successful transition from student to practicing nurse. 3. Nurse Residency Program Coordination and Transition-to-Practice Support Serves as coordinator for the 12-month Nurse Residency Program, overseeing curriculum implementation, seminar facilitation, advisory board activities, clinical reflection groups, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Provides individualized mentorship and transition-to-practice support for nurse residents, monitors program outcomes, and evaluates resident progress and engagement. Leads initiatives to strengthen preceptor development, critical thinking, clinical judgment, and orientation processes while supporting the successful integration of new graduate nurses into professional practice. 4. Nursing Professional Development, Quality Improvement, and Program Evaluation Functions as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist as needed, providing educational support and competency development for novice nurses and clinical staff. Collects, analyzes, and presents program metrics and survey data to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Supports research, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and organizational initiatives that enhance orientation, onboarding, workforce readiness, nurse retention, and patient care outcomes. 5.

QUALIFICATIONS CT RN
Licensure required BSN degree required American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) provider certification required Certified American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor as assigned

Full Time:
