A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Schedule:
Part-time position, 20-30 hours per week, Weekdays and Weekends availability | 1st shift-7am to 3pm Essential position functions: Manage all admissions and discharges that occur on the day shift Meet with each Med nurse to review day case load and special responsibilities Review all new admissions from previous day to ensure admission check list is completed Complete or verify completion of daily skilled documentation for all Med A residents that were assigned for day team Review labs and x-rays and ensure all have been addressed Complete all skin inspections and Braden inspections according to schedule Review doctor's orders for new and current residents; ensure that care is being provided based on current orders. Coordinate care through communication with resident's family members, physicians, and other health care providers.Qualifications:
Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse. Must be CPR Certified.Experience:
One year of long term care desirable. Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful. Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.Required Skills:
Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients. Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders. Ability to maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
