Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Brandon, FL Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Tampa Bay, Florida | Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established cardiovascular team in the Tampa Bay area. This full-time position combines outpatient cardiology with inpatient hospital responsibilities. The incoming APP may select a primary office location in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center and will collaborate with cardiologists and advanced practice providers across several cardiovascular specialties. Position Highlights Choice of primary office in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center Monday-Friday schedule Shared weekend rotation approximately once per month Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital care Collaboration with experienced cardiologists and APPs Exposure to general cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and vascular disease Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Continued professional development within the CVAUSA network Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient cardiovascular consultations Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress tests, and other diagnostic testing Develop and manage treatment plans with the cardiology team Manage medications and coordinate specialty referrals Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and cardiovascular health Participate in the shared weekend coverage rotation Qualifications Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider Cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience strongly preferred Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP certification preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Collaborative, patient-centered approach to care Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off CME allowance 401(k) retirement plan Professional development and career advancement opportunities About Bay Area Cardiology Associates Bay Area Cardiology Associates is a physician-led cardiovascular practice serving patients throughout Greater Tampa Bay.
