A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
What you will do:
In this role, you will: order and administer medications per provider's orders. Transcribe provider's orders in the medical record to the medication administration records. Accurate and prompt documentation in the health record. Obtain vital signs and BMI, perform basic vision exam, administer IM injections. Collect specimens and prepare for lab courier. Assist chronic care clinic (i.e., diabetes, asthma, obesity) Manage daily sick-call and adhere to the nursing protocols. Educate students about their health. Maintain clean and tidy workspace. Collaborate with peers to meet the needs of the department and campus. Monitor medical supply inventory and report when needs ordering. Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.To be considered you should:
Minimum requirements: Possess a degree and current Registered Nursing Credential from the state of Florida. Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs. Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. Must be able to pass a DJJ and DCF background checks.
