A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with physician orders, evidence-based practice, and established nursing standards Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, recognizing and reporting changes in patient status promptly Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions while monitoring patient responses and documenting care accurately in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians, case management, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care Respond promptly to patient needs while promoting exceptional patient satisfaction and service excellence Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives that support positive clinical outcomes and operational excellence Support unit operations by collaborating with fellow nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient throughput and continuity of careQualifications:
Degree Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred License(s) or Certification(s) Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date Job Experience and/or Industry Experience Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience required (acute care experience not required) Previous Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, or other direct patient care experience accepted Acute care hospital experience preferred but not required Software Skills Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) and Microsoft Office applications preferred Other Skills Strong clinical assessment, communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills Ability to prioritize patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and interdisciplinary teamwork Strong organizational skills and attention to detailPosition Highlights:
