Job Description
Join HCA Healthcare as a Med Surg Cardiac RN PRN and provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult cardiac and medical-surgical patients. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes in patient status. Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to adult med-surg cardiac patients Perform comprehensive assessments and document accurately Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments per provider orders Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs Respond to patient status changes and emergencies promptly Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Maintain infection control and patient safety standards Document care in the electronic health record in a timely manner Required Skills Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation Adult medical-surgical nursing IV therapy and medication administration Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Patient assessment and triage Telemetry equipment operation Wound care and post-surgical management Care planning and prioritization Infection prevention and control Patient and family education
