Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Perform thorough assessments of patient conditions, including monitoring and tracking vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient progress. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care. Identify patients' needs, nursing diagnosis, implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Administer medications and assist in surgery or other medical procedures as needed. Handle patient emergencies and other unforeseen situations with promptness and professionalism. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication management.
