Job Description

Gentiva is seeking a Hospice RN Executive Director to lead a compassionate hospice team delivering home-based end-of-life care. In this role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and support an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides. You will partner closely with families and community providers to uphold patient dignity, safety, and comfort. This position combines strategic leadership, clinical oversight, staff development, and performance improvement in a mission-driven, patient-centered environment focused on quality, respect, and empathy. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership for hospice branch operations and clinical services. Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance and survey readiness. Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to meet performance goals. Lead and develop interdisciplinary team members through coaching and mentoring. Oversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes. Promote a culture of compassion, safety, and patient dignity. Collaborate with physicians, referral partners, and community organizations. Engage with patients and families to support care planning and satisfaction. Implement and monitor policies, procedures, and best practices. Report operational and clinical performance to regional leadership.
