The program supports the successful transition of the new nurse into a professional role in an acute care setting in one of the following patient care areas :

• Acute Care Services (Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Palliative, Orthopedics, Nephrology)
• Intermediate Care Services (Medical, Cardiac, Trauma, Neuro/Stroke)
• Critical Care Services (SICU, TICU, MICU, Neuro)
• Emergency Services (Main ED, Pedi ED)
• Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health )
• Women's and Children's Services (Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, NICU)
• Perioperative Services (OR, PACU)
• Cardiac Cath Lab
• Please note that that Perioperative Services and Cardiac Cath Lab positions require a 30 minute call expectation.

Qualifications & Experience Essential:

Associate Degree in Nursing completed in advance of start date.

Nonessential:

Bachelor Degree in Nursing Education equivalent experience:

If hired after 2013, must obtain Bachelor degree in Nursing within 3 years of employment date.
