A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical Team Members, creates and oversees assigned clinical programs by completing needs assessments. Employs evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice Assists in clinical orientation of new Team Members, provides ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team Members Actively participates in the quality improvement process, acts as a positive agent of change and communication Guides other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs. Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned. Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice. This role will support the Behavioral Health at the Mease Dunedin Hospital.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse license BLS certification BSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience OR Bachelor's in Healthcare Related Field with 4 years of
Nursing Education Preferences:
